In particular, we consider how heritage – and the “expert’s voice" - are built and contested from the experiences of rural and community-based tourism. To do this, we consider cases in the province of Santa Fe and Jujuy, based on the field work carried out between 2019 and 2020, with participant observation, interviews, files consultation and tourist materials. As a result, we observe how communities express their needs and interests, acquire a voice to negotiate the conformation and activation of their cultural heritage. In this process, the actors involved expressed tensions over heritage, tourism and territorial development. En este trabajo indagamos sobre el turismo comunitario como una modalidad que se promueve desde políticas públicas con el objetivo de motivar la participación de las comunidades locales en el desarrollo socio-económico de sus territorios. En particular, reflexionamos sobre cómo se construyen y tensionan los patrimonios --y la “voz experta”- desde las experiencias de turismo rural y comunitario (TRC). Para ello, consideramos casos en provincia de Santa Fe y Jujuy, a partir de trabajos de campo realizados entre 2019 y 2020, con observación participante, entrevistas, consulta de archivos y de materiales turísticos. Como resultado, observamos cómo las comunidades expresan sus necesidades e intereses, adquieren voz para negociar la conformación y activación de sus patrimonios. En este proceso, se expresan tensiones sobre el patrimonio, el turismo y desarrollo territorial entre los actores involucrados. Instituto de Investigaciones en Turismo e Identidad.
