Sumario: | During the 1920s, travel acted as an articulating element of intellectual networks between Argentina, Europe and Latin America. The extent of this phenomenon makes it possible to distinguish different types of travel, such as the “reformist travel” (Bergel, 2019) or the “avant-garde travel” (Calderón, 2020).
Within this framework, cultural magazines played a fundamental role as catalysts for these traveling practices, since they fostered and supported them in both the content and the materiality of their publications. Specifically, this work aims to analyze the different aspects of travel in Inicial. Revista de la nueva generación (1923-1927), in which the University Reform and the literary avant-garde were combined. With this purpose, the analysis will be based on the methodological model proposed by Pita González and Grillo (2015), since it offers ample opportunity for covering both the textual elements and the materiality of cultural magazines. |
