The first one considers its alleged support by the results of the cognitive sciences, showing that opposite interpretations of the same evidence are possible. The second one explores the second-person perspective in our ethical decisions. From the analysis we can conclude the fundamental importance of rationality both for the recognition of the other person and for the formation of the ethical judgement. The paper concludes that, even though emotions are necessary, they are not sufficient for the formation of an ethical judgement, underlining that rationality is needed. El artículo examina el emotivismo moral siguiendo dos líneas argumentales. La primera considera su presunto apoyo en los resultados de las ciencias cognitivas, mostrando que caben interpretaciones contrapuestas de esa evidencia. La segunda explora la perspectiva de segunda persona en nuestras decisiones éticas. Del análisis se desprende la importancia fundamental de la racionalidad tanto para el reconocimiento de la otra persona como para la formación del juicio ético. El trabajo concluye que, aunque las emociones son necesarias, no son suficientes para la formación del juicio ético, señalando la necesidad de la razón.
