Sumario:The purpose of this work is to demonstrate that Solon's poetry encrypts History as Herodotus conceives it. In this sense, although the tradition of Solon as a sage is strategic for Herodotus, the matter of his poetic activity is transcendental. The elements of the poetic fragments that are recognizable in the Herodotean Solon not only allow the credibility of the fictional encounter with Croesus to be maintained, but also the transposition Original Poetry- Fiction- Made-own Poetry provides a look at History, individual and collective, that validates, influences and determines the word of the author, Herodotus, from tradition.
