The ancestral legacy has a representation that associates components embodied in the territories and that emerge due to their high value in modernity. Cultural and partially religious hybridism is used as a theoretical framework,to evoke a positive historical regression and recreate the experiential experience in the spouses. The narrative method is used with in-depth interviews to three actors who have received ancestral permission to carry out this ceremony. The findings show all the components that are offered to tourism or to those who are convinced of the authenticity of natural, social and community values. It is concluded that In Mocencahuac is not a mediated ritual linked to reality, but a clear expression of identifying content, which is part of the touristic offer and experiences in Mexico. El presente trabajo describe la particularidad de la boda prehispánica In Mocencahuac (el emparejamiento) con expresiones simbólicas que refuerzan el posicionamiento progresivo del turismo cultural y religioso en la región central de México. El legado ancestral tiene una representación que asocia componentes encarnados en los territorios y que emergen por su alta valoración en la modernidad. Se emplea como marco teórico el hibridismo cultural y parcialmente religioso, para evocar un retroceso histórico positivo y recrear la experiencia vivencial en los contrayentes. Se emplea el método narrativo con entrevistas a profundidad a tres actores que han recibido el permiso ancestral para efectuar esta ceremonia. Los hallazgos muestran la completitud de componentes que se ofrecen al turismo y/o a quienes estén convencidos de la autenticidad de los valores naturales, sociales y comunitarios. Se concluye que In Mocencahuac no es un ritual mediatizado vinculado a la realidad, sino una expresión viva de contenido identitario, que forma parte de la oferta y experiencias turísticas en México.
